Photograph the power adapters
For every device, record its model, adapter output voltage, current, polarity and connector size. The router and optical network terminal (ONT) may need different supplies. A similar-looking connector or a “Wi-Fi” label does not establish compatibility.
Add the loads
Check each port limit and the total output available when ports are used together. A 12 W load and a 6 W load need 18 W combined. Two sockets do not prove the UPS can support both devices at once.
Compare watt-hours
Capacity conversion requires the corresponding nominal voltage: Wh = V × Ah. A 10,400 mAh claim without a voltage is not enough. For an illustrative 38.48 Wh battery, 85% efficiency and a 10 W load give about 3.3 hours. This is a calculation, not verified product performance; test your actual equipment.
Check PoE and the upstream connection
Identify the required PoE standard: passive PoE and 802.3af/at are not interchangeable by default. Test whether equipment restarts when mains power fails and returns. Keeping your router powered does not guarantee internet access if the provider’s equipment loses power.
Ask for a model-specific answer
Request the model, per-port and total power limits, Wh rating, cables, recharge time and warranty. Resolve conflicting specifications before payment. For shipping, declare the battery and provide its specifications and packaging details.
