Choose where the light will be used
For a desk, check how the light reaches the work surface; for a corridor, consider placement and access to the switch. A headlamp, a lantern and a desk lamp serve different tasks. Ask whether the product is intended for indoor use and how it can be placed securely without obstructing a walking route.
Compare lumens, not just watts
Lumens describe light output; watts describe power consumption. Request the lumen rating for each brightness mode, rather than treating a high wattage as proof of useful brightness. Beam shape, glare and placement still affect how well a light works in the intended space. Compare samples under the same conditions.
Ask which mode the runtime claim uses
A maximum-runtime claim may refer to the dimmest mode. Ask for runtime at your chosen setting, whether brightness falls during use, battery capacity in Wh, charging time and test conditions. These figures are supplier claims until checked on a sample; a photograph cannot verify runtime.
Check charging and battery details
Confirm input voltage, connector, required adapter and included cable. A USB-C connector alone does not establish which charging modes are supported. Ask whether the battery is replaceable and request the operating and storage instructions. Declare the battery for shipping and confirm the route and required documents before payment.
Prepare a small trial order
Send the use case, desired brightness, runtime target, quantity and destination city. Agree checks for the switch, charging, stand or hook, packaging and model label. For a batch, include spare parts and warranty terms in the comparison. Calculate the full delivered cost and compare with a locally available light before committing.
Sources and scope
Sources provide context and specification examples, not seller endorsements or evidence of testing by our team. Conditions for each order are checked separately.
